White River Overland (WRO) is a professional van and truck outfitter based in Aspen, Colorado and surrounded by the White River National Forest. Born from a love of adventure travel, camping, mountain biking, skiing and backcountry touring, WRO was formed by 2, longtime Roaring Fork Valley locals with a shared vision of creating capable adventure vans and outfitting overland vehicles. Locals know us for our top-of-the-line van conversions and truck conversions, built to tackle the rugged terrain in our backyard. Supporting an open, responsive and transparent dialogue with each client, our goal is to exceed expectations by completing projects on a timely basis without compromising the quality of work. From custom builds to our proven designs, WRO is able to tailor projects to specific applications and budgets.

Located just outside of Aspen core, the WRO shares space with its sister company, Cracks and Racks, a 20 year local Aspen company specializing in sales and installation of vehicle rack systems and windshield repair. Always learning and evolving, our build team uses a collaborative work environment and shared experiences to continually improve the quality and functionality of the builds. The bottom line is that we use our own products and love what we do.

Our Founders

Scott Vold

Locals will remember Scott starting what is now Cracks &Racks over 20 years ago by pedaling his bike around town doing windshield repairs. From those humble origins, Scott built a reputation in the community as a trustworthy resource for rack systems, windshield repair and aftermarket vehicle accessories. Scott believes first and foremost in customer service, and is always ready to answer questions and provide help. Scott’s expansion of the business into van building and truck outfitting is natural, as this new area overlaps with the existing business. Scott is a hands-on business owner, involved in every aspect of both Cracks & Racks and WRO. Scott lives in Snowmass Village with his wife and young son and can often be found playing hockey, skiing, mountain biking, trail running and exploring the mountains around Aspen.

Ben Genshaft

A real estate attorney by trade, Ben is obsessed with overland travel and camping. From tent camping to trailers to RVs and vans, Ben’s personal experiences contribute to the WRO style and vision. Overlanding with his family each summer for weeks at a time or quick trips to Moab during the winter months, Ben’s love of all things vans and overlanding has come from personal experience. Ben is involved with van designs and layouts. Ben lives in Snowmass Village with his wife and two kids. When not dreaming up new van layouts, Ben can be found skiing, mountain biking, camping or playing live music..
